Terrorism Studies Study Program

Introduction

The Terrorism Studies Study Program is the only master's level study program in Indonesia that offers an analytical framework for understanding the development of the concept of terrorism, counter-terrorism policy options and comparative studies of terrorism cases, so that the subjects to be studied in the Study Program are divided in three parts, namely: Conceptual Framework, Understanding of Policy and Explanation of Case Studies.

Graduate Profile

  1. Have the ability to analyze the phenomenon of terrorism at the local, national and international levels from economic, political, legal, socio-cultural, psychological and communication science dimensions based on in-depth knowledge in multi-disciplinary science for the national interests of Indonesia, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (intellectual competence).
  2. Have practical skills in preparing concept/policy papers and recommendations, which are supported by comprehensive and theoretical knowledge about the phenomenon of terrorism (applicability)
  3. Able to appreciate and criticize various terrorist phenomena and be able to consider the relationship between these phenomena and Indonesia's national interests (balance between cosmopolitanism and nationalism)
  4. Uphold academic ethics and demonstrate high personal integrity, social awareness, and professional work ethic (personal competence)
  5. Creative and sensitive in criticizing and appreciating the usefulness of Multidisciplinary Studies in the study of terrorism using economic, political, legal, socio-cultural, psychology and communication science approaches.
