PRIK KT SKSG Ul is committed to carrying out studies and studies in the fields of police and security and terrorism. PRIK KT SKSG UI was founded by the late. Prof. Dr. Sarlito Wirawan Sarwono (psychologist) on 2009. Alm. Prof. Dr. Sarlito Wirawan Sarwono led PRIK KT SKSG Ul until 2015, that is then led by Inspector General. Pol. (Ret). Dr. Benny Jozua Mamoto, SH.,, M.Si until December 2020. Since July 14 2021, PRIK KT SKSG UI has been led by Dr. Sapto Priyanto, A.Mi,, S.H., M.Sc.

Since 2009, PRIK KT SKSG Ul has been active in conducting research that contributes to increase the security of vital objects of government and private agencies. In addition, PRIK KT SKSG Ul has carried out deradicalization programs by intervening with former terrorism convicts and families of terrorism convicts. Until now, PRIK KT SKSG UI still continues to maintain good relations with former terrorism convicts, their families and networks.

As a research center, PRIK KT SKSG Ul has been trusted by various government and private agencies to conduct research and training in police, security and terrorism issues. On context academic, PRIK KT SKSG Ul has provided significant recommendations to the government and produce ideas that are published in international journals indexed by Scopus. PRIK KT SKSG Ul too contribute to preventing radicalization among academics by doing seminars on campuses and has helped other researchers from within and outside the country to
analyze similar issues.
