The 2021 AUA and ICSGS Academic Conference initiated the Pre-Conference Seminar event as its second significant Program Series on October 5th, 2021. The Pre-Conference Seminar was conducted as an academic platform to accommodate the Conference Authors across the universities to have a Round Table research sharing discussion.

This program aimed to discuss the conference’s scope across the topics that focus on two focus groups; Strategic and Global Studies, and Sustainable Development Approaches.

This event was attended by a total of 16 Focus Group Discussants and 489 academic participants and audiences across Asian Universities and countries.

Besides the Focus Groups discussion, the event also provided a Plenary Session with remarkable Keynote and Plenary Speakers.
Dr. Lin Yola as the Conference Chairman officiated the event and highlighted that the event was an an international platform for an intellectual dialog among the academic and non-academics with the multidisciplinary backgrounds.

Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D as the rector of Universitas Indonesia stated on his welcoming remarks that this program was conducted to give opportunities for Authors to discuss their research findings across the topics, so the concluding arguments within the Conference’s Scope will be clearly presented.

The event opened with the Keynote Speech by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs and The Social Emergency Restriction Coordinator in the Java-Bali Region, Jenderal TNI (HOR) (Purn.) Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, M. P. A, with the topic “The Indonesian Strategic Policy on Emergency Restriction during Pandemic and Its’ Implications”.

The second Plenary Speech by the Director of the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics, Prof. Ir. Dwikorita Karnawati, M.Sc., Ph.D; the Indonesian Architect and Professor of Architecture in the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Ir. Gunawan Tjahjono, M.Arch., Ph.D; and the Subdistrict Administrative Head of Kalianyar, Tambora, West Jakarta, Daniel Azka Alfarobi, ST, MT, MSAS.
Pre-Conference Seminar main event consisted of two breakout rooms. which divided by its Focus Group, Strategic and Global Studies, and Sustainable Development Approaches.

The Strategic and Global Studies led by Ibrahim Kholilul Rohman, SE, MSE, Ph.D as the moderator and The Sustainable Development Approaches led by Professor Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bin Ibrahim, FASc as the moderator.

Athor Subroto, Ph. D., the Director of SSGS Universitas Indonesia closed the event by remarking that the event accomplished its’ objective to accommodate Speakers and Authors sharing on the significant topics on ‘Strategies and Adaptation to the Pandemic: An Emerging Response’.
